The balance between modern love and living according to the Gospel makes for even more comedy and drama at the Nightingale Theater this weekend.

"Why Won't He Luv Me Forever II: Love, Lies and Larceny" picks up where playwright Tiffany Hunter left off last year when she first brought her story of a group of young women looking for love to the Tulsa stage.

"Why Won't He Luv Me Forever" was loosely based on "Twelfth Night." Add to that the "Lies and Larceny" and you have the makings of mystery and suspense as well as the fun.

The story resumes with Peggy headed for New York to make her dream to become an actress come true. There, she meets an ex-con trying to start over again, an entrepreneur dealing with the death of her fiance and a man trying to get over his wife's infidelity.

Relationships are tested as everyone's looking for romance while leading a Christian life.

Tickets are $19 and can be purchased at Barber King, 6373 S. Memorial Drive, 619-6333. Show times at the Nightingale, 1416 E. Fourth St., are 8 p.m. Friday-Sunday. For more, call 607-5761.
